From the Home Front Freshasadaisy adorning thoughts Buffalo News
“Recent issues of Country Living and Better Homes & Gardens have landed on my desk, and I have no intention of sharing them. Why? Because both magazine covers are bursting with blooms u2013 gorgeous flowers in pink, peach, purple, coral and yellow. I just love looking at them.
Inside Country Living, the April issue, I find an article on repurposing old items as vessels for holding flowers. An old enamelware colander. Assorted tea tins. Those green cardboard baskets berries come in.
Better Homes & Gardens, the March issue, treats me to six pages of tulips u2013 high on my list of favorite flowers.
I find it hard to resist the fresh tulips popping up in the floral section at the supermarket these days. I have already bought a bunch of yellow ones. Iu2019m sure Iu2019ll be picking up more.
Thoughts of spring flowers remind me of all the ideas I have seen u2013 locally and beyond u2013 for incorporating flowers into the home. Not just fresh ones. Faux can be fun, too.”
